She's covered national stories including the Charleston church shooting where she was live on scene for two days, giving constant updates and sharing the community's reaction in the wake of a national tragedy. She also covered the removal of the controversial confederate flag from South Carolina's statehouse grounds. She reported from several rallies over the flag, including the day the it came down.
Julie can write, edit, shoot, and run her own live shots.
She's gained an ease behind and in front of the camera, as well as at the anchor desk filling in for cut-ins during CBS This Morning.
